WELCOME TO MAPLE CLASS
Welcome to the Autumn Term in Maple Class!
Our topic this term is: Music Man
In Maple, we enjoy exploring and having lots of fun with our learning through carefully planned attention autism engagement activities, sensory exploration and discovery.
Our English focus story is The Bear and the Piano by David Litchfield.
The staff in our class are: Jess (Class Teacher M-Th), Alex (F), Sharon, Lorna (M-W), and Grace.
This term our Coastal Learners are looking forward to…
Continuing to develop our early communication skills to support us to express our wants and needs, and using our thinking and problem solving skills in our maths sessions, as well as focussing on our independence skills. We will also build on our anticipation skills during attention autism sessions and show increased engagement in a variety of fun and exciting activities.
Pupils will explore number and problem solving activities, TACPAC, sensory stories and nursery rhymes and action songs each day.
Our Countryside learners will be…
Continuing to develop our communication systems so we can share our wants, needs and thoughts with others. Furthermore, we will also begin to recognise letters in our environment. We will also continue to develop our knowledge of phonics to support our reading skills using Twinkl phonics scheme. In our Maths sessions, we will be focusing on number, sequencing, and 2D shape.
We will also be sending home learning activities each week, please use Evisense to share your learning and experiences at home, we love to see what you get up to!
In addition to our daily work sessions, we also have:
