WELCOME TO ASH CLASS
Welcome to Ash Class
We are a Lower Key Stage 2 class, in Ash Class, every child is valued and celebrated for who they are and the unique strengths they bring. We provide a supportive, nurturing and engaging environment where learning is personalised, meaningful and enjoyable for every learner.
We follow a multi-sensory approach to learning, giving children opportunities to explore and understand the world through touch, sight, sound and movement. Our daily activities include Attention Autism sessions, sensory experiences and sensory stories that spark curiosity, develop communication and encourage active participation.
Using a total communication approach, we support the development of communication skills in ways that work best for each child, whether through speech, signing, symbols or assistive technology.
The Ash team is passionate about helping every learner develop independence, confidence and essential life skills, preparing them for future success both in and beyond school.

Reading in Ash
Our story this half term is When I Grow Up by Tim Minchin.
In Ash Class, we enjoy reading every day through sensory stories, songs, shared reading activities and books. We encourage a love of reading through engaging and interactive experiences that help bring stories to life.

In Ash Class, we love learning, growing, sharing and playing together. We capture evidence of our learning through Evisense, so please check your child's page regularly to see what we have been doing. We also love seeing what our pupils achieve outside of school, so please feel free to upload photos and videos from home.
Special Requests
- Please ensure all of your child's belongings are clearly labelled with their name.
- We have snack twice a day (morning and afternoon). You may wish to pack these separately from your child's lunch and label them with their name.
- Please remember that we are a nut-free school.
