Welcome to Beech class

Hello and welcome to the autumn term.
This term in Beech we have lots of great learning oppurtunities and experiences planned. We are a class of key stage 4 pupils and we follow the ‘Moving On’ Equals Curriculum which is designed to support our young people as they continue to develop skills in Maths, English, ICT alongside Vocational Studies; World Studies and independent living skills.
Pupils are supported individually or in small groups throughout all lessons; identifying what is important to them, what they want to learn. and working hard to increase their independence and self-help skills each day, including communicating choices.
Other work will include:
- Technology- making healthy snacks.
- English sessions focussing on poetry with our focus texts being The Sandwich, The Crocodile and the Frist Christmas.
- Weekly swimming sessions at Brio leisure centre.
- Managing our time and independence skills.
- Exploring our relationships with friends and family.
- Communicating our opinions, feelings and beliefs
- We will continue to stream daily for phonics.
As the weather starts to change please ensure your child has appropriate clothing to access the playground which they will have the opportunity to do multiple times a day.
As always please feel free to contact the staff team via the home school diary or call if you prefer. We will continue to share your child's work regularly on evisense. If you require help logging in please let Amy or the office know.
